the general manager of our company is planning to resign. since i am his secretary im confuse on what would be my status at the company if our GM will resign. should the company let me stay? even if the GM that im serving is no longer part of it?
note: im still on probitionary period
i need some advice because this is my first job. and i dont know what to do. and another question is should i start looking for a new job? pleeaaasse help..Please help or give me some advice on what should i do?
Most company give the GM the freedom to choose his secretary. Remember the secretary position is a critical position and much more so with the GM. Therefore they should be able to work together very well and the GM should feel comfortable with the secretary
Should this new GM likes you then you don;t have a problem. But, if he ';feels'; uncomfortable with you, he would most likely ask for someone else.
Should this case happen, request from your HR to transfer you to another department instead of letting you go.
