My sister in law a few years ago received cosmetic surgery. She was not happy with her outcome and when she paid for her surgery she went through Be Your Best Surgery. The doctor they assigned her did not do a good job and he stated to fix the problem the surgery would cost an additional 3,000, she had already paid 10,000 which was way over the price the surgery should cost interest and all considered it was WAY TO HIGH A PRICE!! She stated to me that she talked to a supervisor at the company and the supervisor agreed to pay 1,000 toward fixing the surgery, but since then the company is avoiding her because they have went out of business or bankrupt something along those lines and now she doesn't know what to do. She still owes 1,100 on the surgery but she doesn't feel she should have to pay since she wasn't happy with the surgery and it was agreed that the company would pay 1,000 to fix the botched job. Hire a lawyer. If the company has gone bankrupt there's a period where you can make claims against them for what they owe. Even if this period has passed, you may be able to cancel your sister's debt with theirs, and she wouldn't have to pay as much. However, in order to do that, you need a lawyer, because most collections companies won't listen unless someone threatens lawsuit.
Also, unless you have written or recorded documentation of this, you're probably screwed.
