Ok your filter is in one of three places, in filter grille in the wall, in the indoor unit itself behind a little door with two removable tabs, or in the duct work. You'll have to be the detective on that one. If its a run of the mill size you can get them anywhere but if its a factory size, call a Carrier dealer they can hook you up. Sounds like an older Carrier name does it start with 38y... for the outdoor unit, if so go to www.carrier.com or call 1800carrier and they can hook you up.Airconditioning advice - Have a Wethermaker split in our new home, no instructions %26amp; it needs a service.. I think this is made by Carrier. Do a search on it and you can probably e-mail the co for specs
