What is the best method to losing weight. Suggestions or advice. I'm really overweight and need help!?

I'm really short and I have trouble with getting down on the floor and doing situps. I can't afford a gym membership and I live far from a park that I could walk around.What is the best method to losing weight. Suggestions or advice. I'm really overweight and need help!?
The best way to lose weight is to eat less and exercise more. If you live far from the park, try walking around the block. If your neighborhood isn't conducive to that, try waling around inside fof half an hour without stopping. Then after a week try to go for an hour.





Also, whatever you are eating now is too much. Start using smaller plates and only having one helping. If you eat out ask the waiter to put half of your meal into a take out container before he even brings it to your table. Avoid bread, potatoes, and any high carbohydrate foods.





Losing weight is not something you can do overnight, and if you want it to last you need to alter your lifestyle. Fad diets may work in the short run, but over time everyone that tries them ends up even heavier than they started.

Maybe u could go to the gym or the y with a friend it helps when u bring a friend and just eat good
Diet and exercise. Eat small amounts of food several times a day. Cut down on sugars and starchy foods (Carbohydrates).


Walking is a good exercise and swimming is better. I understand. Gyms are expensive and we have the same problem. I don't have a weight problem but my husband does and he keeps saying that he needs to join a gym etc but we cannot afford it. I try to cut down on his sugar intake but he sneaks them into his diet when at work! You have to work on losing weight bit by bit. Those fast ways of losing weight are not good because you will gain it back real fast. Walking is good but since you are far from a park, have you ever considered buying a walking exercise machine? You might want to check out used ones from the Classified ads in newspapers or those for sale at yard sales. We bought one some yrs back from a yard sale for $20. We have little space in our home and eventually had to put it in the yard where the elements of the weather spoilt it.


Also, if you have a Weight Watchers program in your town, it is good. My husband's friends , two of them and others I know have lost a lot of weight. They eat everything we eat except very small portions and they count the calorie intake. You will have to attend meetings or talk to the group leader, who will tell you all the details. My husband did not want to follow this method because he is used to eating large amounts or medium amounts and he considered their portions of food too small.
Weight Watchers doesn't cost too much and is great. Or get yourself out to walk every day and stop drinking anything but water for a week. No snacks like chips and pretzels. Eat broiled or baked meats. Skip butters and cream sauces . Lots of veggies and fruits!
